My Qualifications
I am Edgar Woodson, owner of Anchor Inspection Services, one of New Jersey's premiere home inspection firms. Below you will find listed some of the qualifications that I offer for the examination of your new home or investment property. You deserve no less when considering an investment of this magnitude!
Over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction (commercial and residential) support my inspections and inform my reporting. My experience includes properties from 500 sq. ft.to 1.2M sq. ft. and ranges from swinging a hammer framing in former days, to project development and mangement of large scale commercial construction and renovations.

I am a member in good standing of the InterNational Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), a member of the national Education Committee, and state education administrator for New Jersey. NACHI is the largest professional organization for Home Inspectors.
I am the founding Vice President, and the serving President of the New Jersey Chapter of NACHI (NJ NACHI).

The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), founded in 1976, is North America's oldest professional society of home inspectors. ASHI's goals have always been to build customer awareness of the importance of a quality home inspection and enhance the professionalism of home inspectors.
I am a member of the Better Business Bureau (A+ rating)
I have passed InterNACHI's on-line inspector examination and the National Home Inspection Examination.
I have completed InterNACHI's Code of Ethics obstacle course and ASHI's Standards of Practice and Ethics exam and abide by them.
I have passed InterNACHI's Standards of Practice test and follow them.
Taken and passed 300 hour Home Inspection course formerly specified by New Jersey (now 140 hours).
Taken and passed 40 hour Home Inspection course with National Institute of Building Inspectors.
Undergraduate and Graduate education in engineering.
Continuing education in excess of 30 hours annually for home inspection, radon measurement, and wood destroying insects.
